Glassboro, N.J. (10/20/12) – The Rowan University men's soccer team used three second-half goals to pull away from Kean University by the final of 4-1 Saturday afternoon in a rescheduled NJAC matchup.
Kean stands with a 9-8 overall record and 4-4 mark in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with one conference game left in the regular season.
Trailing, 4-0, the Cougars broke up the shutout with a penalty kick goal from sophomore Erickson Simeon (pictured left).
The Profs (8-7-2, 3-4-1 NJAC) edged Kean in shots (17-14) and corner kicks (5-4).
Senior John Londono tallied five saves in the loss while Rowan keeper Michael Fanz-Huster made nine stops in the win.
Kean jumps right back into action as they take on the University of Rochester on Sunday at Kean Alumni Stadium at 3 p.m. (note change of time and location). The Cougars will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the University's first national championship during an alumni reunion on Sunday as well.
