Fayetteville, N.C. (10/6/12) – Methodist University used three first-half goals to pull away from the Kean University men's soccer team by the final of 4-1, Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Cougars (7-5) broke up the shutout in the 82nd minute as freshman Jose Arevalo scored off a pass from rookie Luis Velasquez.
Both teams recorded 11 shots in the contest while Methodist (8-2-1) held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks. Junior Tyler Callahan made one save in goal in the loss.
Kean returns to action on Sunday when they travel to take on the University of Mary Washington at 1 p.m.
