Fredericksburg, Va. (10/7/12) – The
University of Mary Washington broke a one-all tie in overtime to
defeat the Kean University men's soccer team by the final of
2-1 Sunday afternoon.
After falling behind 1-0 early in the second half, the Cougars
(7-6) tied things up at 72:56 as junior Dominic
DeLello (pictured left) scored an unassisted goal.
The score would remain that way until the final minute of the first
overtime period as the Eagles (8-5) scored with 50 seconds to go to
earn the win.
Senior John Londono recorded seven saves in the
loss.
Kean returns to action on Wednesday when they host Montclair
State University at 4 p.m. at the East Campus Complex.
