UNION, N.J. (12/5/12) - Sophomore guard
Bria Hilll scored 25 points to help lead Rowan University
to a 62-42 over Kean University Wednesday night.
Sophomore guard AnnaRose Pierre scored 13 points
and had nine assists while senior forward Kyanne
Sager had 10 points to the pace the Cougars (1-5).
It was a close first half, featuring six ties and no team
leading by more than six. With the score tied at 21-all,
Pierre (pictured left) hit a layup with 3:18 to go to give Kean the
lead that they would take into the break, 25-23.
Pierre scored 11 first-half points with seven rebounds, while
senior Erin Farrell added eight points, playing all 20
minutes.
The Profs (3-4) took over the second stanza. With 10:17
remaining in the game, Rowan broke the game open with a 25-8
scoring run. The Profs were led by senior guard Eyandra
Molina who scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half, and
Hill scored who scored 19 of her game-high 25 points in the
half.
The Cougars return to action Saturday, December 8th,
as they travel to Jersey City to take on the Gothic Knights, with
tip-off at 2 p.m.
