UNION, N.J. (4/14/12) – Farmingdale State College defeated host Kean University, 12-6, in Skyline Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Junior attack Carly Schneider led the Rams (10-1, 6-0 Skyline) with four goals and an assist, while Kean goalkeeper Jules Keeley (pictured left) made 12 saves.
After the Cougars scored the opening goal just 10 seconds into the game, Farmingdale State took the lead for good with three straight goals over the next five minutes of action. The Rams led 8-4 at halftime.
In the second half, Kean pulled to within 8-5 with the first goal, before the Rams scored four of the final five goals to pull away for the win.
Junior attack Lyndsey Cannon led the Cougars with two goals and an assist, while junior Steph Tocko added a pair of goals.
Rams goalkeeper Courtney Cook made nine saves, while Krystin Shand added three goals and an assist.
Kean travels to Montclair State University on Wednesday, April 18, in New Jersey Athletic Conference and Skyline action at 4 p.m.
