EWING, N.J. (9/19/13) – The Kean University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the College of New Jersey in Ewing on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Kevin Olaya (pictured left) led the Cougars with a pair of shots on goal.
Kean battled the Lions to a scoreless draw in the first half, but TCNJ got a pair of unassisted second half goals from Sean Casey and Greg Perri to take the NJAC matchup 2-0. The goals came in the 67th and 78th minutes, respectively.
Aaron Utman made three saves to earn the shutout for TCNJ. Tyler Callahan made seven saves in goal for Kean on the day.
Kean is now 9-7-1 and 0-6-1 in the conference, while the Lions raised their record to 9-5-2 and 4-2-1 in the league.
The Cougars will return home and host Senior Night on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. against Rowan University. The game will be played at Kean Alumni Stadium.
