RIVERDALE, N.Y. (2/19/13) – Nine different Cougars earned kills as Kean University topped the College of Mount Saint Vincent 3-0 in Skyline Conference action on Tuesday. Sophomre Mike Scheuermann led Kean with an .875 hitting percentage.

Mount Saint Vincent mounted little resistance is the first two sets, which Kean won 25-13 and 25-11. The Dolphins put up a fair fight in the third but could only muster 21 points as the Cougars completed the sweep.

Kean held CMSV to a negative .177 hitting percentage in the match. The Cougar defense was led by freshman Tommy Rosario (pictured left) - who had four total blocks – and junior Michal Kucza, who had 12 digs. Rosario also served eight-straight points during the first set to set the early tempo.

Freshman Krzysztof Kucza of Kean led all players with a total of eight kills on the night.

Kean will head to the Big Apple this weekend for the Baruch Quad Invitational, where matchups with four ranked teams await the Cougars. The first match is Saturday against No. 2 Nazareth College.
