Men's Volleyball Sweeps Skyline Sunday

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (3/30/14) – The No. 14 Kean University men's volleyball team topped host NYU Polytechnic 3-1 before dispatching Yeshiva University 3-0 in the day's second match. The Cougars raised their record to 20-7 and have won five-straight matches.

Kean is still perfect in Skyline Conference play with a 10-0 record. Yeshiva is now 7-11 (0-8 Skyine) and the Bluejays are 5-16 (2-5).

Ed Jedziniak and Krzysztof Kucza led the Cougars with an even dozen kills in the two matches; Jedziniak against Poly and Kucza against the Maccabees. Ron Dunn rattled off 11 service aces in the two matches and led Kean in blocking against the Blue Jays.

Tom Kemmerle had nine digs in the Yeshiva match and Mike Scheuermann led the squad with six blocks in that matchup

The team will host Ramapo College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. It will be senior night with a pregame ceremony honoring Kemmerle, Josh Haimann, Arthur Kosakowski and Michael Fox.
