No. 13 Men's Volleyball Sweeps to Clinch Skyline Regular-Season Title

NEW YORK, N.Y. (4/6/14) – The No. 13 Kean University men's volleyball team swept New Jersey City University and the College of Mount Saint Vincent without dropping a set to secure its third-straight Skyline Conference regular-season championship.

Kean has now won eight-straight matches and 20 of its last 21. They are 23-7 overall and undefeated in the Skyline conference this year.

Kean is now the number one seed for the Skyline Conference Championship and will host the event on Saturday, April 12 inside Harwood Arena. Kean will play its semifinal at 1 p.m., with the other semifinal at 3:30 p.m. The two semifinal winners will meet at 7 p.m. on Saturday to determine which team earns the Skyline Conference Championship and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

Head coach Charlie Ginex won the title in his first season at the helm of the Cougars.

Kean will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday at NYU Polytechnic in Brooklyn at 7 p.m. With a win, the Cougars will complete the first perfect regular-season run through the Skyline in conference history.
