No. 12 Men's Soccer Stunned by Stockton

GALLOWAY, N.J. (10/124/15) – Stockton University tripped up the No. 12 Kean University men's soccer program 2-0 in NJAC action on Saturday. The Cougars are now 14-4 on the season and 5-3 in the NJAC, while Stockton improved to 14-3-1 and 6-1-1 in the league.

The Ospreys held Kean to just three shots on the night, though the Cougars did put all three on-net. Carmine Colasurdo had two shots and Sev Kherlopian had the other.

Both teams were scoreless in the opening period, with Chidi Iloka making three saves on 10 Osprey shots.

Stockton scored both goals in quick succession. First, Anthony Colofranson connected on a header off a free kick taken by Boby Spracklin.

Less than two minutes later, Ian Carmelia put in an insurance goal that was also assisted by Spracklin. In those 113 seconds the Ospreys got all the scoring they would need.

Stockton outshot the Cougars 16-3, and both teams accumulated three yellow cars apiece.

Brad Watkins (pictured left) played the final 21 minutes in goal for the Cougars and did not allow a goal.

The Cougars will close out the regular season on Wednesday when the program celebrates Senior Day against NJAC rival Ramapo College at 7:30 p.m. inside Kean Alumni Stadium.
