Madison, N.J. (3/24/15) – The Drew University women's lacrosse team rallied for eight second half goals to defeat Kean University by the final of 10-6 Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

Eliza Clark led the Cougars (0-5) with two goals, three draw controls and three groundballs.  Morgan Mason led all players with four goals and three groundballs as the Rangers improved to 4-1.

The first half belonged to the Cougars as Jordan Blanda and Clark provided goals less than a minute apart for a 2-0 lead.  Kean and Drew then see-sawed spanning over the intermission before the Rangers then rallied with a 6-0 run.  Trailing 4-2, Drew scored six straight over 10 minutes to take a lead they would not relinquish. 

The Cougars got as close as 8-6 as senior Maggie Brocklebank and Blanda broke the run with back-to-back goals, but Drew closed out the contest with two more to pull out the win.

Blanda (pictured left) finished with two goals and six draw controls while senior Marisa DeAngelis recorded three groundballs.

Kean returns home to face The Sage Colleges on Thursday evening.
