Women's Soccer Blanks FDU-Florham

Madison, N.J. (9/8/15) – The Kean University women's soccer team used a balanced scoring attack to blank host FDU-Florham by the final of 4-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Cougars (2-2) broke through with what would be the only needed tally of the night as sophomore Kaitlyn Pallitto lofted a high liner 10 yards out over the keeper's head for a 1-0 lead with about five minutes to go in the first period.

The rookie combo Brittany Birth and Sabrina Pascarella notched the second strike of the evening just over five minutes into the second half.  Sophomore Jordan Thuman's (pictured left) header from classmate Kelly Williamson in the 73rd minute made it 3-0 and sophomore Emily Jurcsek rounded out the scoring with an unassisted mark in the 80th minute.

Senior keeper KC Nunez recorded four saves in her 15th career shutout.

Kean returns to action on Saturday when they travel to The College of New Jersey for the TCNJ Adidas Class against #5 Johns Hopkins University at 11 a.m.
