Union, N.J. (4/20/16) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team got back on the winning track with an 18-4 non-conference win over Manhattanville College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Cougars (12-2) powered their way to a 12-1 advantage in the first 30 minutes, aided by a four goal performance from senior Sam Gnapp. Gnapp actually scored three of Kean's first four goals of the day in a three minute span. Manhattanville (5-7) scored their only goal of the first half with 20:21 to go before Kean rolled off eight straight to close the period. Eight different Cougars tallied goals to spread around the offense.
The Valiants were able to push through three goals in the second half, but Kean was still able to maintain their double-digit advantage in cruising to their 12th win of the season.
In all, 11 different players notched goals for the Cougars with Gnapp and Emily Stasuk recording four goals apiece. Gnapp (pictured left) added four assists for eight points on the day. Senior Jordan Blanda registered two goals and two assists with three groundballs and three draw controls.
Keeper Nikki Apostolopoulos tallied seven saves on the day.
Kean returns to NJAC action on Saturday when they host Rowan University.
