Union, N.J. (9/2/16) – The Kean University women's soccer team fell late to the University of Scranton by the final of 2-0 on Friday evening in the Cougar Classic.
Taylor Stevens scored the game-winner in the 75th minute as the ball somehow found the back of the net directly off her corner volley. The Royals (1-0) added insurance at 84:01 as Carolyn Warner collected her own rebound for the strike.
Senior Lauren Healey made eight saves in opener.
The Cougars will be right back at it on Saturday when they face St. John Fisher College at 4 p.m.
