Union, N.J. (9/20/16) – The Kean University women's soccer team used an early first half goal to top previously unbeaten The College of Staten Island by the final of 1-0 on Tuesday night.
The lone goal of the contest came just under five minutes into the action as Sabrina Pascarella fed Jordyn Bronsky (pictured left) on a give-and-go in the box for what would be the game-winner.
The Cougars (4-4) paced time of possession and scoring opportunities on the night with a 22-5 advantage in shots and 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Both defenses were on top of their game with a combined four team saves on the night.
For Kean, Lauren Healey made two stops while Nicole Mignone had four in the loss for CSI (5-1-1).
The Cougars return to NJAC play on Saturday when they host Rutgers-Newark at 1 p.m.
