Union, N.J. (9/7/16) – The Kean University women's soccer team picked up their first win of the 2016 season by shutting out FDU-Florham by the final of 1-0.

The Cougars (1-2) got on the board first in the 25th minute as senior Jordyn Bronsky worked around a Devil defender and fired off a low liner that found the right corner of the net. Junior Kendall Machak (pictured left) feed her the ball after a throw in from Shannon Brown.
Despite many scoring opportunities for Kean (21-3 in shots), the Devils' (1-1-2) Annie George was able to stop nine in the losing effort.
Keeper Lauren Healey made one stop in the shutout win.
Kean returns to action on Saturday when they travel to York College (Pa.) for a two day tournament.
