UNION, N.J. (10/11/19) – Zoe Strozewski totaled 19 kills and posted a .607 hitting percentage as the Kean University women's volleyball team bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Kenyon College in non-conference action on Friday evening.

Sedona Gaard totaled 13 kills and six digs for the Cougars who improve to 16-7 overall. Mackenzie Bruzzio tallied 15 kills and 11 digs for the Ladies who fall to 4-13 overall.

Kenyon played like they had nothing to lose and captured the first set with 12 kills and a .357 hitting percentage. Kean rebounded by winning the final three sets, which included 17 kills from Strozewski in the three set victories.

The Mount Prospect, III. native posted nine kills in the second set and five kills in the fourth set as the Cougars tallied .343 and .385 hitting percentages in each of those sets.

Jesse Larkin recorded 10 kills and four digs, while Brianna Calvano finished with 33 assists, 13 digs, five kills, four aces and one block assist. Kortnee Nelson totaled 23 digs and Amanda DeLio tallied eight.

After tonight's match, Calvano needs three assists to move into second place all-time.

Head Coach Don Perkins and the Cougars will return to action in Mahwah, N.J. on Tuesday, Oct. 15^th, against the Roadrunners of Ramapo College at 7:00 p.m.
