MAHWAH, N.J. (10/15/19) – The Kean University women's volleyball team tallied 90 digs over four sets in the 3-1 victory over Ramapo College on Tuesday evening.
Jesse Larkin totaled 15 kills and six digs for the Cougars who improve to 17-7 overall and 5-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Morgan Ridgway tallied 13 kills for the Roadrunners who fall to 9-3 overall and 2-3 in the NJAC.
Last time Kean hit 90 digs in a four set match was a 3-1 loss to Ramapo in the Bradley Center on Oct. 6th, 2015. The Cougars totaled 92 digs with
Lisa DeGroot tallying 27,
Kassie Hernandez totaling 14 and
Nicollette Poveromo adding 12.
Tonight's match saw five Cougars with double-digit digs, including
Kortnee Nelson (24),
Amanda DeLio (10),
Michelle Froehlich (14),
Sedona Gaard (13) and
Brianna Calvano (14).
Calvano added 45 assists and three kills in the process as the senior moved into second place all-time on the career assist list, passing
Colleen Morrisroe (1997, 99-01).
In addition, Nelson is just 20 digs away from 1,500 and Larkin needs 65 to reach 1,000 career kills.
