UNION, N.J. (10/19/19) – Kortnee Nelson totaled 33 digs over two matches and was named to the All-Tournament Team as the Kean University women's volleyball team split the final day of the North Jersey Challenge on Saturday.

The Eagles (16-7) were clearly the best team all weekend after going 4-0 without dropping a single set. The Cougars (20-8) had their five match winning streak snapped after being swept by the Midwest squad.
Cailyn Ross tallied a team-high seven kills, while Nelson collected 14 digs as Kean was held to a .019 hitting percentage.
Kean 3, St. John's Fisher 0
The Cougars (21-8) finished the weekend with a 3-1 record after bouncing back with a 3-0 sweep of the Cardinals (18-8).
Jesse Larkin totaled 10 kills and five blocks, while
Brianna Calvano tallied 28 assists, eight digs and three blocks assists.
Sedona Gaard finished with 11 digs and six kills, while Ross added eight kills. Nelson collected 19 digs as Kean posted a .255 hitting percentage.
Larkin now stands at 979 kills, needing 21 to reach 1,000 for her career.
