MONTCLAIR, N.J. (10/30/19) - The Kean University men's soccer team dropped their New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season finale to Montclair State University, 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
Brent Llewellyn scored the game-winner for the Red Hawks who finish the regular season at 14-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in the NJAC.
Max Acosta tallied four shots for the Cougars who finish the regular season at 9-6-3 overall and 3-3-3 in the NJAC.
Despite the loss, Kean edged Montclair State on shots (18-11) and corner kicks (6-5). The Cougars were called for 14 fouls and had two cards issued.
Christian Estremera recorded three shots, while
Felix Pereyra and
Mario Ramirez Jr. both tallied two shots apiece.
Dillon Konzelmann collected seven saves in the loss.
Kean secured the fifth seed in the upcoming NJAC tournament and will travel to Glassboro, N.J. on Saturday, Nov. 2
nd to face the fourth seed Profs of Rowan University at a time to be determined
