Radnor, Pa. (12/20/19) – A strong first half from host Cabrini University gave the Kean University women's basketball team a 75-57 setback on Friday afternoon.

Senior Payce Lange led Kean with a double-double 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Cougars fell to 7-2 overall.

After trading buckets in the first four minutes of action, Cabrini (7-2) took advantage of an off day for Kean offensively as the Cougars were only able to net four points in the first 10 minutes.  Kean's shooting woes continued in the second quarter, but the Cougars were able to add points from the charity stripe as they trailed, 44-19 at the break.

The Cougars were able to outscore Cabrini in the third quarter, but were unable to overcome the eaerly deficit in the loss.

Graduate student Cindy Foresta collected 16 points and nine rebounds while Shannon McCoy and Emily Dominguez each added eight.

Kean enjoys a short break for the holidays and will travel to Salem, Virginia for a two day tournament next weekend.
