NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (8/30/19) – Bryan Blandon notched the game-winner and just his second career goal as the Kean University men's soccer team opened the 2019 season with a 1-0 victory over Whitman College at the Steve Shaw Classic hosted by Christopher Newport University.
Joaovictor Lebrao assisted on Blandon's game-winner as the Cougars improve to 1-0 overall.
Oscar Harding took four shots for the Blues who fall to 0-1 overall.
After a tight and scoreless first half, which saw both sides attempt six shots apiece, Kean broke through in the 57
th minute after Blandon touched the ball pasted the keeper coming off a Lebrao header.
