Union, N.J. (8/30/19) – The Kean University women's soccer team opened up with a shutout win over the College of Staten Island by the final of 6-0 on Friday afternoon in the Cougar Classic.

Grace Casais and transfer
Lizzy Pacillo led all players with one goal and one assist each as six different Cougars had tallies in the win.
It took a while for the offense to get settled in, but once it did Kean (1-0) produced five first have goals, including three in the final seven minutes.
In total, Kean outshot the Dolphins 29-2 and 13-1 in corner opportunities.

Emily Bretschneider added her first assist of the year.
Kean heads right back into action on Saturday in day two of the Cougars Classic as they take on New England College at 4 p.m.
