Dallas, Pa. (9/6/19) – The Kean University women's soccer team suffered a 4-1 setback for the second time this week, this time to host Misericordia University in the Cougars Classic on Friday night.
Mariaelena Torres scored the lone goal for the Cougars who fall to 2-2 on the young season.
Kean found themselves in an early 2-0 hole after 13 minutes, but were able to hold Misericordia scoreless to finish the half. Torres found the back of the next in the 41st minute to cut the deficit in half before intermission.
Misericordia added insurance with two second half markers while holding Kean to just three shots.
Kean will square off against SUNY Geneseo tomorrow to close out the Cougar Classic at Misericordia with a 4 p.m. start.
