UNION, N.J. (9/6/19) – Jesse Larkin totaled 23 kills, 13 digs and two blocks as the Kean University women's volleyball team dropped contests to SUNY New Paltz and Williams College on the opening day of the Hawks Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Larkin finished with a career-high 18 kills and
Sedona Gaard posted a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs as the Cougars (3-2) dropped their second straight contest in a five-set thriller to the Hawks (1-3). After both sides traded the first four sets, the match entered the deciding fifth set. In the final set, the Cougars took a 12-9 lead on a
Amanda DeLio ace. New Paltz would close out the contest with a 6-1 run to end the game.
Brianna Calvano finished with 38 assists, eight kills, and eight digs, while
Zoe Strozewski totaled nine kills and four blocks.
Kortnee Nelson tallied 22 digs and DeLio collected 16.
Williams 3, Kean 0
Strozewski totaled eight kills and three blocks, while
Cailyn Ross finished with six kills and a block for the Cougars (3-3) who dropped their third straight contest. Calvano totaled 11 assists, while
Britni Jaskot collected eight. DeLio finished with eight digs, while Gaard tallied seven.
