UNION, N.J. (1/18/20) – The Kean University men's volleyball team was swept in matches against both nationally-ranked Stevenson University and Stevens Institute of Technology on the final day of the Clash at Kean.

Seth Russell posted seven kills, while
Jared Ray tallied nine digs and seven kills as the Cougars (0-2) were swept in the opening match of the day to the nationally ranked Mustangs (2-1).
The opening set saw both sides' trade points before the Mustangs went on a 6-1 run to hold a 16-10 advantage. Kean closed the deficit to 22-19 on back-to-back kills from Russell, but Stevenson finished off the set with three straight points.
The Cougars were competitive in the third set as both sides traded points. Kean went ahead 20-19 on back-to-back kills from
Kevin Molina and two aces from Russell. After again trading points, the Mustangs closed the match with a 4-1 run.
Zach Gerken finished with 15 assists and seven digs, while
Jonathan Meyer collected 10 digs.
#3 Stevens 3, Kean 0
Stevens hit .375 with just nine errors as the Ducks (2-0) swept the Cougars (0-3) in the final match of the day.
The Cougars were competitive in the first and third sets as both sides traded points throughout. The opening set had 14 ties and six lead changes, while the final set saw eight ties and just one lead change.
Ray added another six kills to his afternoon total, while Meyer finished with 15 digs and five kills.
Zach Noll handed out 18 assists and posted four kills in the loss.
