Bronx, N.Y. (1/3/20) – The Kean University women's basketball team led wire-to-wire as they defeated Lehman College, 87-56 on Friday evening.
The contest is the last non-conference matchup for the Cougars (9-3) who have 13 NJAC games remaining. Kean had three players in double figures as Payce Lange, Shannon McCoy and Cindy Foresta finished with 17, 17 and 10 respectively.
The Cougars raced out to a double-digit advantage in the first four minutes of action (16-6) and finished the first quarter with a 29-17 lead. Kean turned that lead into as many as 21 in the first half behind a bucket from Lange (45-24) and headed into the locker room with a 48-30 lead.
In all 13 players saw action this evening as the offense paced the second half in cruising to their ninth win.
Emily Dominguez finished with nine points while Danielle Mills brought down seven rebounds.
The Cougars return to NJAC play on Wednesday when they host Stockton University.
