UNION, N.J. (2/11/20) – Jared Ray posted 12 kills and five digs as the Kean University men's volleyball team was swept by Arcadia University, 3-0 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

Dan Paraskevov totaled 12 kills and eight digs for the Knights who improve to 7-5 overall. Seth Russell tallied six kills and three digs for the Cougars who fall to 3-8 overall.

The opening set was a back and forth battle that saw 13 ties and five lead changes. Russell and Ray combined for 11 of the 13 kills in the set. Kean trailed 25-24 with set point as the Cougars burned a timeout to reset. After the timeout, Russell notched a kill and Luke Frankenfield collected an ace as Kean regained the advantage at 26-25 and forced Arcadia to call a timeout. After the timeout, the Knights closed out the set on a 4-1 run, including three straight points to end the set.

After Arcadia posted a .600 hitting percentage in their set two victory, Kean opened set three with a 7-4 lead that included a kill and back-to-back aces from Frankenfield.  The Knights responded with a 8-3 run to regain the lead at 12-10. Arcadia maintained the lead for the rest of the set, despite the Cougars getting the deficit down to one just before match point.

Jonathan Meyer totaled nine digs and four kills, while Kevin Molina and Maxim Kostin both tallied two kills apiece.

Head Coach Charlie Ginex and the Cougars will return to action on Friday, Feb. 14^th, in Arlington, Va. against the Saints of Marymount University at 7:00 p.m.
