GALLOWAY, N.J. (2/12/20) – Nate Lyles finished with a team-high 15 points as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to Stockton University, 78-61 on Wednesday evening.
Jordan Taylor totaled 19 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Ospreys who improve to 15-8 overall and 12-4 in the NJAC.
Jailen Jamison tallied 12 points, three assists and two steals for the Cougars who fall to 6-17 overall and 3-13 in the NJAC.
After scoring the opening bucket, Stockton opened the game on a 19-4 run over the first eight minutes. Kean cut the lead to 28-18 on back-to-back triples by
Joshua Jackson with just under five minutes to play in the opening stanza. Stockton stretched the lead back to 39-22 just before halftime.
The second half saw the Cougars unable to overcome the halftime deficit as the Ospreys extended their advantage to the largest of the game at 76-56.
Jackson finished with 10 points, while
Myles Owens added nine and
Mario Gunn collected 11 boards.
