UNION, N.J. (2/15/20) – Three players scored in double figures as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to the College of New Jersey, 94-67 on Saturday afternoon.
Randall Walko totaled 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Lions who improve to 16-8 overall and 13-4 in the NJAC.
Jailen Jamison tallied a team-high 22 points for the Cougars who fall to 6-18 overall and 3-14 in the NJAC.
TCNJ opened the contest on a 41-13 run, while posting a 54.0% field goal percentage and a 60.0% three point percentage. Kean struggled to shoot the basketball in the opening half, posting a 35.7% from both the floor and from behind the arc. Kean trailed 51-27 at the break.
Despite the large deficit entering the second half, the Cougars nearly outscored the Lions (43-40) while shooting 42.4% from the field. Kean made 14 field goals in the second stanza that saw TCNJ maintain the double-digit lead.
Jamison scored 20 of his 22 points during the second half.
Nate Lyles finished with 15 points and six rebounds, while
Jared Latane tallied 10 points.

Adam Hutchinson and the Cougars will return to action in Glassboro, N.J. on Wednesday, Feb. 19th, against the Profs of Rowan University for the season finale at 8:00 p.m.
