Union, N.J. (10/2/21) – Allie Magas fired home the game-winner for the Ospreys as Stockton University edged the Kean University women's soccer team in overtime, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon.
Sophia Lang netted the game's first goal in the 31st minute as she bent in her own corner serve for the unassisted marker and a 1-0 lead.
Stockton (9-1-2, 3-0-1 NJAC) evened the score in the 63rd minute as Emily Hauck fired home the rebound of Heather Bertollo's shot. Erica Dietz gave the Osprey's their first lead of the day eight minutes later in similar fashion, firing home the rebound of Sydney William's shot that was saved.
Emily Bretschneider tied things up as she took a pass from Gracie Casais up the left sideline, she did a 180 around her first defender and found space past a second defender and fired a high shot past a leaping keeper.
Marissa Cook made nine stops for the Cougars while Kylee Sullivan tallied four.
Kean enjoys a short break and returns to NJAC action on Saturday when they travel to Rutgers-Newark.
