GLASSBORO, N.J. (10/9/21) - A goal in the 41st minute downed the #3 Kean University field hockey team in their New Jersey Athletic Conference contest against #12 Rowan University, 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Krystyna Hovell scored the game-winner for the Profs who improve to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC. Jordan Thompson totaled two shots for the Cougars who fall to 13-1 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC.

Rowan edged Kean on shots (19-6), shots on goal (10-3) and corners (11-4).

Ja'Carra Jackson, Lia DiPiazza, Jorja Hibschman and Peyton Mann all tallied one shot apiece. Jenna Flemings made seven saves in 60 minutes of work.

The loss snaps the Cougars 18 game winning streak.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action in Ewing, N.J. on Saturday, Oct. 16th, against the nationally-ranked Lions of the College of New Jersey at 1:00 p.m.
