Union, N.J. (11/13/21) – Stevens Institute of Technology used a second have surge to pull away from the Kean University women's basketball team in the championship of the Kean Classic by the final 66-48 on Saturday afternoon.

Brittany Graff and Shannon McCoy each recorded a game-high 14 points.  For her efforts this weekend, Graff was named to the All-Tournament team.

After trading baskets early, Stevens (2-1) took the lead for good on a bucket from Elissa Nsenkyire (7-6).  The Cougars kept things close in the first half and trailed by just five at the break.

That same deficit occurred with six minutes to go in the contest but that is when Stevens pulled away, outscoring the Cougars 14-1 down the stretch.

Meghan Douglas and Allie Moss led the Ducks with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Kean returns to non-conference action on Tuesday when they host Cabrini College at 6 p.m.
