Union, N.J. (3/10/21) – The Kean University and William Paterson University women's soccer teams battled to a double-overtime draw in their spring season opener on Wednesday evening.

Neither team had a large quantity of offensive threats.  Kean's (0-0-1 NJAC) best change came with under a minute to go in the second overtime period as Celine Brady found herself with room up the sideline, but her breakaway shot went right to Ericka Hickey for Hickey's lone save of the night.

The Pioneers (0-0-1 NJAC) registered seven corner kicks, but only one resulted in a blocked shot.  The Cougars' Marissa Cook collected three saves as WP attempted nine total shots on the night.

Kean will take a short break with a bye this Saturday and will travel to Stockton University next Wednesday for a 4 p.m. matchup.
