Glassboro, N.J. (3/20/21) – The Kean University women's lacrosse season got underway on Saturday with an 18-6 setback in non-conference action to host Rowan University.
Dana Meehan led the Cougars (0-1) with two goals and an assist.
Kean jumped out to a 2-1 lead after goals from Meehan and Sam Murri. Unfortunately that would be the only lead for the Cougars as the Profs (1-2) connected on four straight to take the lead for good. A highly offensive first half gave Rowan an 11-4 lead at the break.
Emily Bretschneider finished the game with one goal, one assist and three draw controls while Katie Pileggi also finished with one goal and one assist while adding five draw controls.
Kean will be back in action next Friday when they host Stockton University in non-conference action at 4:30 p.m.
