Jared Ray,
Ian Capp and
Jake Milnazik have been tabbed NVA/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans as announced by the organization on Monday. Ray has been named to the first team, while Capp and Milnazik earn spots on the second team.
Ray becomes just the third first team All-American in the program's history, joining
Bez Arslani (2015) and current assistant coach
Kamil Garbowski (2019). The Phoenixville, Pa. native totaled 213.5 points, 194 kills, 69 digs and 20 blocks over 12 matches played. He averaged 5.47 points per set, 4.97 kills per set, 1.77 digs per set, 0.51 blocks per set and a .392 hitting percentage over 39 sets played. In 22 sets against nationally ranked opponents, he tallied a .346 hitting percentage with 129 points, 117 kills, 44 digs and 11 blocks. The outside hitter was an AVCA All-Region Selection, a CVC first team selection, a NJAC first team selection, a two-time CVC Player of the Week selection and a three-time NJAC Player of the Week selection.
Capp becomes the first three-time All-American in program history with his third straight selection on the second team. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native totaled 118 assists, 78 points, 45 kills, 43 digs, 27 aces and 10 blocks over six matches. He averaged 5.62 assists per set, 3.71 points per set, 2.14 kills per set, 2.05 digs per set, 1.29 aces per set, 0.48 blocks per set and a .229 hitting percentage over 21 sets played. In seven sets against nationally ranked opponents, he tallied 48 assists, 24.5 points, 21 digs, 12 kills, nine aces and six blocks. The setter was an AVCA All-Region selection, earned CVC Setter of the Year honors, a CVC first team selection, earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Year honors, a NJAC first team selection and a two-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week selection.
Milnazik earns his first All-American selection after totaling 88.0 points, 74 kills, 22 digs and 12 blocks over six matches. The Warminster, Pa. native averaged 4.19 points per set, 3.52 kills per set, 1.05 digs per set, 0.57 blocks per set and a .288 hitting percentage over 21 sets played. In seven sets against nationally ranked opponents, he tallied a .400 hitting percentage with 33.0 points, 30 kills and five blocks. The outside hitter was an AVCA All-Region selection, a CVC second team selection and an NJAC honorable mention selection.
