IMMACULATA, Pa. (9/23/21) – Jordan Thompson totaled five points on two goals and one assist as the #4 Kean University field hockey team extended its winning streak to 13 games with a 3-0 non-conference victory over Immaculata on Thursday evening.

Ja'Carra Jackson notched a goal for the Cougars who remain unbeaten at 8-0 overall. Julia Levase made 13 saves for the Mighty Macs who fall to 3-6 overall.

Thompson tallied her first goal of the evening in the 20^th minute as she tapped home a Laura Stump shot for the 1-0 lead. Despite outshooting the Macs 18-0 in the opening stanza, Kean maintained the slim 1-0 lead at intermission.

The Cougars added two insurance goals in the third quarter with Jackson notching her second goal of the season in the 38^th minute and Thompson collecting her second goal of the evening in the 45^th minute. Jackson scored after Thompson dribbled towards the cage and made a quick pass for the senior to deposit in the goal.

Thompson notched her second goal of the evening during a penalty corner situation. Krista O'Grady inserted the ball to Lia DiPiazza who made a quick pass to Thompson. Thompson shot a rocket passed the keeper for the score.

Kean held Immaculata stat less on shots (28-0), shots on goal (16-0) and corners (16-0).

Thompson tallied a game-high 13 shots.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 25^th, hosting the Bullets of Gettysburg College at 4:00 p.m.
