UNION, N.J. (9/4/21) – Raonne Dias scored two of the Cougars three first half goals as the Kean University men's soccer team blanked Brooklyn College 3-0 in their 2021 season opener at the Tony Ochrimenko Classic on Saturday.
Shaq Bryan also notched a goal for the Cougars who improve to 1-0 overall.
Alex Sosa tallied two shots for the Bulldogs who fall to 0-1 overall.
Kean used their speed to overwhelm Brooklyn from the opening whistle. Bryan helped the Cougars get on the board with a score in the 22
nd minute after collecting a saved ball from the keeper to score at close range. The Cougars answered a minute later when Dias beat the keeper one-on-one to increase their lead to 2-0 in the 23
rd minute.
Kean finished off their scoring for the evening when Dias scored on a
Matt O'Shea assisted ball for the 3-0 lead in the 32
nd minute.
The Cougars dominated on shots (27-3), shots on goal (11-0) corner kicks (6-0).
Sergio Martinez totaled five shots, while Bryan tallied four.
Dominic Ridge played all 90 minutes and recorded the goalie decision.

Peter-John Falloon and the Cougars will return to action tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 5th against the Panthers of the College at Old Westbury at 3:30 p.m.
