UNION, N.J. (10/1/22) – Peyton Mann totaled seven points on three goals and one assist as the #7 Kean University field hockey team shutout Marywood University, 8-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Four other players tallied a goal for the Cougars who improve to 9-1 overall. Rachel Yohn tallied 14 saves for the Pacers who fall to 2-7 overall.
Kean scored five times in the first half for a commanding 5-0 lead at the break. Mann and
Ja'Carra Jackson traded goals and assists with two scores in the seventh minute for a 2-0 lead.
Jorja Hibschman recorded an unassisted goal to increase the Cougars lead to 3-0 in the 21
st minute.
Morgan Stump and
Laura Stump connected for the fourth goal of the opening half, while
Emma Killeen tallied her first collegiate goal with a score just before halftime.
In the second half, Mann scored two more times and
Kelsey Corbett scored once as the Cougars rolled to their ninth straight victory.
Mann recorded 13 shots, while Hibschman and Jackson both tallied two apiece.
Belly Reynoso,
Jenna Flemings and
Azure Jones combined for three saves in 60 minutes of work.
