GALLOWAY, N.J. (10/11/22) – Sian Seeger notched a career-high 25 digs as the Kean University women's volleyball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to Stockton University on Tuesday evening.
Camille De La Torre totaled 13 kills for the Ospreys who improve to 12-5 overall and 4-1 in the NJAC.
Ashley Smith finished with 16 kills and seven digs for the Cougars who fall to 10-8 overall and 4-1 in the NJAC.
Smith and
Taylor Micheaux combined for seven kills as the Cougars took set one, 25-22. Despite the victory, Kean posted more errors in the comeback win that saw the Cougars trail by as much as six.
Stockton swept the final three sets to take sole possession of second place in the NJAC. The Ospreys made late runs in each of the final three sets and posted higher hitting percentages as well.
Stockton tallied a .199 hitting percentage, while Kean was held to .099.
Micheaux recorded 10 kills, while
Morgan Hall and
Anne Beckemeyer each tallied six kills apiece.
Kylie Brua handed out 32 assists and collected 10 digs.
