UNION, N.J. (10/15/22) - Jenna Flemings made a career-high 15 saves as the #8 Kean University field hockey team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to #2 Rowan University, 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Tess Herman notched two goals for the undefeated Profs who improve to 14-0 overall and 4-0 in the NJAC.
Maddison Gonzales scored for the Cougars who fall to 11-3 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC.
Rowan scored three times over the first three quarters, including two from Herman as the Profs held a 3-0 advantage entering the fourth. The Cougars finally got on the scoreboard when Gonzales tapped in a
Peyton Mann side pass in the 52
nd minute. Rowan added an insurance goal late in the game.
The Profs led on shots (30-16), shots on goal (22-11), and penalty corners (11-10).
Mann recorded seven shots, while
Morgan Stump posted four.
