Mann Tallies 100th Career Point as #11 Field Hockey Dispatches Stockton on Senior Day

UNION, N.J. (10/22/22) – Peyton Mann tallied her 100th career point as the #11 Kean University field hockey team dispatched Stockton University, 7-0 on Senior Day.

Mann finished with five points on two goals and one assist for the Cougars who improve to 13-3 overall and 3-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Kylie Mitchell totaled 12 saves for the Ospreys who fall to 6-9 overall and 0-6 in the NJAC.

Kean scored five times in the first half, including two goals from Ja'Carra Jackson and two goals from Kelsey Corbett. The Cougars led 5-0 at halftime, with a dominating shot advantage, 20-2.

In the second half, Morgan Stump converted on a penalty stroke and Mann notched her second goal of the afternoon just before the final buzzer.

Mann becomes the seventh player in program history to reach the 100 point plateau, joining Krista LaMaina, Brittany Gibbs, Olivia Triano, Jenna Patrone, Marissa Robinson and Shauna LaMaina. The senior also moves into sixth place all-time in points and tied for fourth all-time in goals.

Kean dominated on shots (32-8), shots on goal (24-7) and penalty corners (14-6).

Mann recorded 11 shots, while Jackson, Stump and Laura Stump all tallied four shots apiece. Belly Reynoso, Jenna Flemings and Azure Jones combined for five saves on 60 minutes of work.

Before the game, Head Coach Leslie LaFronz, and her staff honored Kayla Link, Krista O'Grady, M. Stump, L. Stump, Mann, Mahiyah Sampson, Reynoso and Flemings for their hardwork and dedication to the program.

Coach LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action in Wayne, N.J. on Friday, Oct. 28th, against the William Paterson University Pioneers at 6:00 p.m.
