WAYNE, N.J. (10/28/22) - Peyton Mann tallied the game-winner in the eighth minute to vault the #11 Kean University field hockey team to a 1-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference victory over William Paterson University in Friday evening's regular season finale.
Laura Stump assisted on the game-winner for the Cougars who finish their regular season at 14-3 overall and 4-2 in the NJAC. Kourtney Hartzel made 14 saves for the Pioneers who finish their season at 3-9 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC.
The senior played a side pass from Stump and scored in the right corner for the lone goal of the game.
Kean dominated on shots (27-5), shots on goal (15-2) and penalty corners (13-3). Mann posted 11 shots, while
Jorja Hibschman notched six.
Jenna Flemings made one save in 60 minutes of work.
