UNION, N.J. (10/29/22) – Morgan Hall and
Anne Beckemeyer combined for 36 kills over two matches as the Kean University women's volleyball team swept a Tri-Match with Pratt Institute and Misericordia University on Senior Day.
Kean 3, Pratt 0
Hall totaled nine kills and six digs as the Cougars (15-12) dominated the Cannoneers (11-9) in the opener. Kean posted a .301 hitting percentage, while Pratt recorded a -.059 percentage.
Beckemeyer totaled eight kills and three digs, while
Kate Rutigliano finished with seven kills and two block assists.
Ashley Smith totaled six kills and four digs, while
Sedona Gaard totaled eight digs and four kills.
Gwen Hangey handed out 27 assists, while
Sian Seeger collected 13 digs.
Kean 3, Misericordia 1
Taylor Micheaux (13), Beckemeyer (10), and Smith (10) all tallied double-digit kills as the Cougars (16-12) earned the victory in the nightcap over the Cougars (22-9) of Misericordia.
Kean posted a .236 hitting percentage while holding Misericordia to a .187 percentage.
Aspen O'Brien totaled 18 assists, 10 digs, and three kills, while Hangey collected 15 digs. Seeger finished with 10 digs, 11 assists and two aces.
Before the match, Coach Perkins and his staff honored Hangey, Hall, Seeger, and Gaard for their hard work and dedication to the program.
