San Juan, P.R. (12/20/22) – Marietta College won the nip-and-tuck battle by the final of 55-52 on Tuesday afternoon in the Puerto Rico Clasico against the Kean University women's basketball team.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Cougars (5-6) fell for the second straight day by a three-point margin.
Kean held a slight lead or were tied for the entire first half, going into the break with a 28-25 lead. Marietta took their first lead of the day, a lead they would not relinquish, early in the third quarter as Devin Hefner hit a trey off a turnover by the Cougars.
The Pioneers (7-4) continued their run and pushed out to a seven-point lead (35-28) with 5:30 to go in the third. Kean chipped away and pulled within one in the third quarter and pulled within two on three separate occasions in the fourth quarter but ran out of time to complete the comeback.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Macy Seaman led Kean with a double-double 18 points and 10 rebounds. Stephanie LaGreca has nine rebounds and two blocks.

Kean will head home and travel to take on Drew University on Friday, December 30th.
