UNION, N.J. (3/19/22) – Emily Bretschneider tallied nine caused turnovers, seven groundballs, five draw controls, and two goals as the Kean University women's lacrosse team shutout Marywood University, 15-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Katie Pileggi finished with six goals, six groundballs, six draw controls, three caused turnovers, and one assist for the Cougars who improve to 3-2 overall. Alaina Brenneman totaled three groundballs and two caused turnovers for the Pacers who fall to 3-4 overall.
Pileggi scored four times, while
Kylie Giordano and
Amanda Ehrhart both scored twice as Kean notched 11 goals and a running clock by halftime. Pileggi would add two more during a four-goal second half.
Eight Cougars tallied a point in the victory with Giordano, Ehrhart, and
Sarah Wagner each collecting three points apiece.
Dana Meehan,
Lauren Pluta, and
Kat Palaia each finished with a point as Kean notched their second straight shutout of the season.
Nicole Peters and
Sydney Koch combined for four saves in 60 minutes of work.
