UNION, N.J. (3/19/22) – Emily Bretschneider tallied nine caused turnovers, seven groundballs, five draw controls, and two goals as the Kean University women's lacrosse team shutout Marywood University, 15-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Katie Pileggi finished with six goals, six groundballs, six draw controls, three caused turnovers, and one assist for the Cougars who improve to 3-2 overall. Alaina Brenneman totaled three groundballs and two caused turnovers for the Pacers who fall to 3-4 overall.

Pileggi scored four times, while Kylie Giordano and Amanda Ehrhart both scored twice as Kean notched 11 goals and a running clock by halftime. Pileggi would add two more during a four-goal second half.

Eight Cougars tallied a point in the victory with Giordano, Ehrhart, and Sarah Wagner each collecting three points apiece. Dana Meehan, Lauren Pluta, and Kat Palaia each finished with a point as Kean notched their second straight shutout of the season.

Nicole Peters and Sydney Koch combined for four saves in 60 minutes of work.

Head Coach B.J. Johnson and the Cougars will return to action in Madison, N.J. on Wednesday, Mar. 23^rd, against the Devils of FDU-Florham at 4:30 p.m.
