LANGHORNE, Pa. (4/22/22) – Brady Moore recorded his 100
th career point as the Kean University men's lacrosse team routed Cairn University, 28-2 on Friday evening.
Moore finished with five points on four goals and one assist for the Cougars who improve to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Jonathan Balsamo totaled two points on two goals for the Highlanders who fall to 1-9 overall and 1-4 in the CSAC.
Moore led 17 different goal scorers with 20 different players notching a point.
Moore notched his 100
th career point during a five point opening quarter that saw Kean score 11 goals. The Cougars added six more goals in the second quarter for a 17-2 halftime advantage. Moore and
Connor Batjer each tallied five points apiece in the first half.
Kyle Ryder,
Anthony Porter and
Nick Thorne all scored two goals apiece after 30 minutes of play.
In the third quarter, the Cougars pushed their lead to 22-2 after goals by
Alex Hufford, Thorne,
Tommy Hamtil,
RJ Duthaler and
Anthony Azara. In the fourth,
Bryce Berger scored twice during a five goal quarter.
Batjer totaled six points on five assists and one goal, while Ryder and
Anton Updale recorded four points apiece.
At faceoff,
Christian Baucom,
Daniel Gilligan and
Greg Klepacki went a combined 26-for-34 with eight groundballs. On the turf, Baucom collected seven groundballs, while
Joey McNulty and
Steven Thorne recorded six apiece. On defense,
Matt Palmieri totaled four caused turnovers and Thorne tallied three.
In goal,
Thomas Francy,
Michael Yukas, and
Devin Reppert combined for six saves in 60 minutes of work.
