Union, N.J. (4/6/22) – The Drew University women's lacrosse team rallied from an 8-2 deficit to defeat Kean University by the final of 9-8 in double overtime on Wednesday afternoon.

The Cougars (5-5) built a 5-2 advantage at the break and added the first three goals of the second half, two coming from Amanda Ehrhart, to jump out to an 8-2 lead.

The Rangers (8-3) then chipped away and scored two before the end of the third quarter to cut the deficit in half.  The fourth quarter then belonged to Drew as they scored three quick goals to start the final period and tied the game up with 3:26 to go on a Kendall Hartt marker.

It then took over 11 minutes before someone found the back of the net as Emma DiPatri scored her only goal of the day with 3:15 to go in the second overtime period.

Katie Pileggi finished the day with two goals, two assists, 10 groundballs, six caused turnovers and seven draw controls.  Ehrhart led the team with five points (two goals, three assists).

Kean returns to action on Saturday when they host Rutgers-Camden for senior day at 1 p.m.
