LANCASTER, Pa. (9/17/22) – Jorja Hibschman scored the lone goal to vault the #9 Kean University field hockey team to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday afternoon.

Laura Stump and Peyton Mann both assisted on the game-winner as the Cougars improve to 4-1 overall. Sydney Lippe totaled five saves for the Diplomats who fall to 3-3 overall.

After a scoreless first half in which Kean trailed 4-3 on shots, Hibschman put Kean on the scoreboard in the 32^nd minute with a blast during a penalty corner situation. Mann inserted to Stump who pulled left for Hibschman and the junior rocketed past the keeper.

Kean led on shots (13-12) and shots on goal (8-5).

Mann tallied four shots, while Morgan Stump recorded three.

Jenna Flemings made four saves in 60 minutes of work.

Head Coach Leslie LaFronz and the Cougars will return to action in Center Valley, Pa, on Tuesday, Sept. 20^th against the Bulldogs of DeSales University at 7:00 p.m.
