MADISON, N.J. (9/17/22) – Taylor Micheaux finished with 14 kills over two matches as the Kean University women's volleyball team split a tri-match with Saint Elizabeth University and host Drew University on Saturday.
Kean 3, SEU 0
The Cougars (5-3) steamrolled the winless Eagles (0-7) in a straight sets sweep to open the afternoon. Micheaux finished with 10 kills on 18 swings and a .389 hitting percentage.
Aubre Adams added eight kills, while
Bella Stem totaled six as Kean posted a .417 hitting percentage in the match.
Alison Kowalewski totaled five kills and four digs, while both
Kate Rutigliano and
Julia Vacca each notched four kills apiece.
Aspen O'Brien finished with 19 assists and six digs.
On defense,
Bri Otto collected seven digs, while
Gabriele Correa tallied six.
Drew 3, Kean 0
The Rangers (6-4) dispatched the Cougars (5-4) in a straight sets sweep to close out the afternoon.
Drew posted a .253 hitting percentage, while holding Kean to a .105 percentage.
Micheaux and
Ashley Smith both finished with just four kills in the loss.
Anne Beckemeyer and
Morgan Hall each added three kills apiece.
Gwen Hangey handed out 15 assists, while
Madi DeMartini and
Sedon Gaard both collected nine digs.
